Drop & Go has become a popular service over the years and people who use it are our most valuable customers.
Developments for the service include new online features including checking and downloading account and payment history, creating manifests and tracking items.
And this week we are launching auto-tops which helps customers automatically top up their account when they fall below a certain threshold.
This feature allows customers to set up their account so that their balance is automatically topped up when they fall below a certain threshold that they set and saves them time and ensures there is always money on their account to post all their items on the day they visit branch.
Once this feature goes live this week (30 August) branch teams processing Drop & Go parcels will no longer need to contact and ask the customer to top-up when their account runs out of credit.
Mark Siviter Managing Director for Mails and Retail at Post Office said: “Time is precious and speed of service is key to everyone now and we’re always looking at how we can make things better for postmasters and customers. This new development will make a huge difference for both groups.
“We know some of our customers send high volumes of parcels through Drop & Go, so the great news is that there is no daily limit for auto top ups, as long as the customer has funds in their account, there account will be topped up at the value they have set.
“This change has come at a great time, just before the busy Christmas peak and it is another benefit to share with customers and encourage them to sign up to the service.”
