With the summer peak on its way, we’ve launched four new features on our Post Office Travel app, to make it even easier to manage your travel money on the go.
Our Travel app now has over 320,000 registered users and welcomes over 1,000 new customers per day. It allows our customers to manage their Post Office Money Card account 24/7, from anywhere in the world.
As well as providing a range of essential travel services – from viewing their balance and topping up their card, to buying Travel Insurance and downloading policy documents – the Travel app now offers these four new features:
- Wallet-to-wallet transfers
Customers can transfer their money from any of our 13 available currencies to another – rather than having to transfer to GBP first. This means leftover currency from a holiday or short trip can be transferred easily to the user’s preferred currency.
- Activate card
This feature allows our customers to activate their Travel Money Card directly on the app and view their PIN immediately. Linking and activating their card straight away in the app means ringing the contact centre or activating via SMS is no longer necessary.
- Reveal pin
We now provide customers with a feature that allows them to view their card PIN for up to 15 seconds. By being able to view a PIN reminder on their app, customers don’t need to call to find out their PIN or request a new one.
- Freeze card
Our customers now have the flexibility to freeze all their spend activity immediately, with just one click in ‘Card settings’ on the app. This capability allows them to temporarily freeze their card if it has been lost, stolen or they do not want to use it.
