Share readymade social media content with the #WeArePostOffice app



In 2019 we launched a trial for #WeArePostOffice - an app hosting readymade social media content for promoting Post Office products and services - to help Postmasters get more out of their social media.  We are pleased to share that we have now extended the trial to the end of the year and have a number of spaces available to sign up.

We spoke to active user and Postmaster at Copperhouse Post Office in Hayle, Cornwall, Sarah Ellis about her experience using the app: “It is very simple to use, takes a lot of the guesswork out when updating our social media pages and provides great up-to-date products to share with our wonderful customers. A huge thumbs up.” 

Postmaster at Whalley Post Office in Lancashire, Azim Shaikh, added: “It definitely makes a difference to our Post Office when it comes to help and support with social media and also to reaching out to a wider audience.”

Darren Jones, Senior Social Media Manager at Post Office, said: “We introduced this app as result of Postmaster feedback and we’ve seen some Postmasters use it brilliantly and really connect with their local community about their business and products and services. We are still in a pilot phase and with the Christmas period coming up, we want to make sure others who haven’t signed up have the chance to.”

What is #WeArePostOffice?

The #WeArePostOffice app helps Postmasters to promote products and services through sharing social media content. We provide exclusive tailor-made content (images and text) to share, as well as templates for you to create posts, so most of the work is already done!

How do I sign up?

To sign up and start accessing exclusive social media content now, please email  social@postoffice.co.uk with your name and branch. You will receive an invite link to download the #WeArePostOffice app and join, along with other helpful information.

We encourage users to commit to 1-2 posts per week as a minimum to help keep your social media followers engaged with your content.
