There for everyone, here for you
I sat down to write this introduction to Our Post Office, wondering about how I would describe working at the Post Office. And the word that I keep returning to again and again, is unique. We have served communities across the UK for over 300 years, demonstrating the resilience and flexibility which has enabled us to change to serve the different needs of so many generations. It is this history, our ability to make changes confidently and successfully, and our unwavering commitment to Post Office customers and communities, which sets us apart.
As well as being unique, the Post Office is a special place to work. Each of us here have been entrusted with one of the most loved and recognised brands in the UK. It’s a responsibility we take very seriously, continually challenging ourselves and each other to make the changes necessary to secure the Post Office’s future at the heart of Britain’s high streets for many years to come. This guide sets out what we will do for our people in exchange for their talent, dedication and commitment to our business. That means offering opportunities to learn new skills and develop existing ones, giving people the space they need to make important changes and believing in their ideas. It means supporting our people.
