Targeting First Time Buyers

Colleagues from the Post Office Money team, alongside representatives from Bank of Ireland, attended the First Time Buyer Home Show in Manchester on Saturday to help raise awareness of our mortgage products.

A joint stall was hosted with a range of merchandise, banners, and leaflets promoting relevant Post Office products for the first time buyer market.

The purpose of the stall was to generate interest in our mortgage propositions, particularly First Start and Family Link aimed at first time buyers, but also our competitive range of Fixed Rate mortgages.

The team captured 32 leads via tablets, 5 of which were qualified by Bank of Ireland on the same day, and noted positive awareness of our mortgages amongst visitors to the stand, generated from marketing activity carried out over the course of the year.

Simona Das, Mortgage Propositions Manager, said: “Saturday demonstrated a great collaborative effort by Post Office and Bank of Ireland. We are tracking leads and applications from the event and hoping to see this flow through to conversion. It was also a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of our presence in the mortgage market for first time buyers.”

The event was covered by an extensive marketing campaign including a Daily Express feature, radio ads, a targeted social media campaign, the Manchester Metro and I Love Manchester partnership.
