From this week, Post Office is making Travel Insurance work better for you – by expanding the number of local branches selling Travel Insurance products, and providing our best ever network-wide offer to keep customers protected over the rest of the summer season.
Post Office has listened to what you said at the NFSP Conference earlier this year and to your ongoing feedback about wanting to sell Travel Insurance products. As a result, we’ve already been running a trial with around 30 local branches for the last two months to test processes and compliance.
And starting this Friday (16 August) we’re going ahead with offering Travel Insurance in an additional 500 local branches. If your branch is one of the 500+ being given access to Travel Insurance on Horizon this week, full details and a welcome pack are available from your Area Manager.
As part of this year’s summer Travel Essentials campaign running until 29 September, we’re bringing you an opportunity to offer customers a 10% discount over the counter – that’s in addition to the free gift of a £10 Amazon voucher or Hawaiian Tropic sun cream already available in branch. We are aiming to get the new discount code available to use as soon as possible this week and will let you know when it’s ready to use.
Since 1 June when the free gift offer started, around 10,000 Travel Insurance policies with the promo code have already been sold in branch. At 80% of all Travel Insurance offer sales, the majority is coming from your branches – and now, you can really maximise your sales opportunities, by offering an additional 10% off the policy price to your customers.
Post Office will be making further improvements to our in-branch Travel Insurance offering later in the autumn. We’ll be telling you more about this over the coming weeks and months, so look out for further updates soon.
