Branch colleagues with tablets can now complete Broadband and Phone product sales on the devices as part of a range of improvements added over the weekend.

It’s the first time Customer Relationship Managers (CRMs) in main agency branches and tablet users in selected directly managed branches have been able to make a sale on the tablet.

And it didn’t take long for the first sales success – clocked up by Sue Macfarlane, CRM at Newcastle under Lyme, on Monday. Sue (pictured right) said: “It’s brilliant! You can add extras like mobile minutes there and then on the tablet, whereas previously on Horizon we could only add them after the customer had gone live. All the add-ons are there in front of you on the tablet so it prompts you.

“The tablet is a great tool and helps you have a more private conversation with the customer away from the counter.”

Meredith Sharples, Director of Telecoms, said: “We are delighted to introduce Broadband and Phone sales journeys onto branch tablets. This makes it even easier to recommend and sell our complete telecoms portfolio, including our new fibre offer.”

The tablets also now feature a better customer search, show customers’ current Post Office products and capture their marketing preferences. We’re always looking at ways to develop the Salesforce platform on the tablets in a low-cost way to give customers a better experience, as well as making the tablets easier to use.

Lisa Hill from Crystal Peaks branch added: “The new customer search will give me better insight into the customer and their needs.

“I’m really excited about completing my first Broadband and Phone sale on the tablet. The staff now refer all telephony customers to me, which will be a massive benefit, creating more meetings and giving me the chance to show the customer all the other ways we can help them.

“I love the tablet and so do my customers. I wouldn’t be without it.”
