We’re delighted to share that Gill Broderick has been shortlisted for this year’s Women in IT Excellence Awards. These awards showcase the achievements and innovation of women in technology to inspire the next generation of women building the infrastructure of the future. Good luck Gill at the awards ceremony which takes place in November.
Here is some more information about Gill and her role in IT…
Gill has worked at Post Office for 10 years on a number of high profile IT projects and programmes. Last year Gill led the programme to transition and upgrade our network communications to a new single supplier, creating a more secure communication network for Post Office. This was a considerable achievement given the scale and complexity of change required. Gill’s current role as Programme Director is focussed on delivering the transition of Post Office data and services from a traditional data centre to a cloud environment.
Gill is an inspiring role model for women, making a significant contribution within IT as we continue our transformation to digitise and optimise Post Office. Gill believes in nurturing talent and is passionate about working in IT and wants to encourage more women to apply for IT roles, especially at this exciting time as technology continues to evolve at pace.
Gill said “I’m thrilled to be shortlisted, this recognition means a lot to me and the team. I’m so proud to represent Post Office as a finalist in the IT industry, this acknowledgment presents a great opportunity to demonstrate how Post Office is changing at pace and embracing technology that will meet the needs of our customers now and into the future”
