Winter wellbeing

Winter wellbeing

January can be a bleak time of year for some people. Christmas festivities feel like a world away, replaced by drizzle, dull diets and new fitness regimes, and it’s still nine weeks until the clocks go forward.

In fact, Monday 16 January has been dubbed ‘Blue Monday’ – allegedly the most miserable day of the year.

If you’re finding things a struggle, don’t forget our Employee Assistance Programme (Help).  It’s there to provide advice and guidance on a wide variety of issues, including alcohol and drug misuse, bereavement, bullying and harassment, childcare/eldercare, debt, legal issues, relationships, retirement, sickness absence, career stress, trauma, work-life balance and many other aspects of life

You can contact the Post Office Employee Support Line and Assistance Service on 0800 6888 777 or go to www.postoffice.helpeap.com for further information.

We’re also on hand to help you stay motivated to achieve your health and fitness goals - our Lifestyle Online site can help you to assess your wellbeing and keep track of your progress.
