Many postmasters are seeing the benefit the banking framework is bringing, from the additional footfall it is creating in their branch and their retail store, to the support it's providing to personal and business customers in their community.
With Banking Services such a big and important part of our business strategy, this year we introduced the Best Banking Services Award at our annual Retail Sales Awards.
In total, 21 branches won at this year’s Retail Sales Awards – but what gave winning branches the edge? We caught up with colleagues at Holywell and Ashburton branches and asked them to share the secrets of their success which led their branch winning the award.
Keith Blair works at Holywell branch in Wales. His branch won in the Best Banking Services - DMB category.
Stuart Rogers is Postmaster at Ashburton branch in Devon. His branch won in the Best Banking Services – Main category.
We’ve also managed to get a short interview with Yasin Mansoor at Little Harwood branch in Blackburn. His branch won Best Mails awards - look out for his full interview on his Mails business in the coming weeks.
Hear their views, tips and insights on everything from raising awareness to actively seeking out opportunities to boost sales, to reassuring their local community that they can access essential banking services at their branch.
