Interested in apprenticeships?

Joanna Giles joined owners Stuart and Jackie Rogers at their Ashburton branch on a full-time apprenticeship in April 2016. Stuart and Jackie decided to take part in the scheme to help guide a young person into sustainable employment.

Since joining, Joanne has made a 200 mile trip to London to meet key teams and understand what happens behind the scenes at Finsbury Dials, one of our customer contact centres.

To mark her two year anniversary as a Post Office colleague she undertook a UK wide fundraising mission to travel to the most southern, western, northern and eastern points of the UK with her journey ending at the Houses of Parliament.

Apprenticeships are no longer just aimed at school leavers like Joanna. Many people, whatever stage in their careers are undertaking this type of development to help their branch and community thrive. They have evolved and are now much more suited to the modern economy, workplace and employee.

Do you have an apprentice in your branch? Let us know (email: one@postoffice.co.uk) as we'd love to share their journey at the Post Office.
