When we think about our North Star and what we can do to make the Post Office matter as much tomorrow as it does today, it’s essential that our teams and colleagues mirror the diversity of our customers so that we can drive exceptional customer experiences.
Typically, this has been tougher when recruiting for technology roles and we aim to tackle this head on. Through a variety of initiatives, we’ve grown our diverse and talented IT and Change Delivery Team to include a wide range of life experiences and in September, we will welcome our first group of IT graduates into the team.
We have also partnered with FDM Group who recruit and train ex-forces personnel and those looking to return to work after a career break, building a bridge back to work. Together, we held a recruitment assessment day at the end of May specifically to recruit talented colleagues who will drive our digital transformation at Post Office. We interviewed some amazing candidates with excellent skills and experience and on 9th July we welcomed our new colleagues into the IT and Change Delivery teams.
Rob Houghton said “I’d like to offer a warm welcome to all our new joiners. It’s important that we support and develop a highly talented and diverse team in IT and Change and across Post Office. I’m really looking forward to working with our new colleagues.”
