The entries are all in, the judges have deliberated and we can now reveal the 2019 Post Office Retail Awards shortlist.
Now in their 14th year, the Post Office Retail Awards are the annual opportunity for Post Office to celebrate our diverse branch network and the unique, special role branches have in communities all around the UK.
This year there are 19 awards, for sales, retail excellence customer service, as well as four new categories to reward other top qualities of great branches: Brand Champion, Community Retailer, Digital Engagement and Local Hero.
We know that many of you have been keen to know if you, or your favourite branches, have made it through and now the wait is over. Here are all of the branches and people shortlisted for an award for 2019. Congratulations to all of our top performers!
What are the judges looking for?
The Post Office network is run by many entrepreneurial postmasters who, as well as being small business owners, are local partners to small business in their communities, working hard to grow their business and give great customer service. When looking at award entries, the ones that stand out are often:
- Passionate and customer-focused
- Forward-thinking and proactive
- Embracing opportunities to understand and meet the needs of their customers
This event is about recognising these qualities, the hard work branches put in year round, the inspirational stories – and celebrating!
Excitement growing for the big night
We hope all of our Top performers enjoy the 2019 Post Office Retail Awards event, which takes place on 22 June at The Vox, in Birmingham.
Invitations have now gone out to everyone shortlisted, around 150 postmasters and their guests, plus table hosts and a few surprise special guests.
