Improving the support we provide to postmasters is a priority for Post Office. Andy Kingham, Head of Network has been involved in shaping the new field structure and in this short interview provides an overview of the new team.
“In Summer 2018 we started to look at the way we support postmasters, aware that many of our branches didn’t have a named contact and in January this year, we announced our proposed structure.
“Over the last few months’ we’ve been busy getting the team in place. And I’m pleased that they are now up and running.
“Our Regional leadership team is divided into nine areas, with 94 Area Managers reporting in to them.
“This team will be your main point of contact and will be getting in touch to arrange visits to your branches, to discuss your challenges and look at how we can support you.
“We’re also running a series of evening meet and greets so our local teams can listen to your thoughts and ideas.
“It’s great that we’ll have local leadership supporting branches in the heart of our communities, on hand to provide face to face help alongside our other support channels, building a relationship with you and your customers.
“I’m looking forward to meeting some of you at events and when I’m out and about in the network over the next few months.
“I’ll be providing regular updates on our progress and your feedback on One, and do look out for more information in the One Business Update which lands in May.”
