You may have seen news reports regarding the Gambling Commission’s report on Camelot, the operator for the National Lottery.
One of the issues included in the report is about Camelot’s governance and robustness of supplier management in relation specifically to the Post Office.
Camelot has accepted the identified breaches and has also put in place a formal supplier management framework specific to the Post Office. This proposal has in turn been accepted by the Gambling Commission, and Post Office is already working to the new framework.
We adapted to the new framework and updated procedures around paying out prizes during August 2017.
We are committed to ensuring we do the right thing for our business, branches and customers and we continue to support Camelot’s revised framework going forward.
