Post Office has teamed up with charity Crimestoppers to launch a new campaign in the West Midlands as part of our ongoing commitment to crime reduction and prevention.
The month long campaign which launched on Wednesday 3 October aims to highlight the impacts on the community when crimes are committed against the Post Office network.
Whilst crime can happen anywhere, the effects on local communities can be serious and disruptive. A robbery on a branch or a damaged ATM, especially in a rural area, and attack on a Cash in Transit Van (CViT) all have negative consequences which can disrupt services – even if only temporarily.
Working in partnership with both Crimestoppers and West Midlands Police we hope to tackle such crime to raise awareness, and encourage more people with any information to speak up 100% anonymously. Together we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our customers.
