Woodside Post Office opened by local familiar face

Woodside Post Office opened by local familiar face

Woodside branch in Aberdeen was officially opened this week by agents Zulfiqar and Sal Ahmad who already run Berryden branch, also in Aberdeen, and local resident, 72 year old Norman Davidson was there to cut the ribbon.

Norman, who grew up and has lived in the area all his life, remembers the previous Woodside branch and was delighted to be part of the official launch which celebrates the return of essential Post Office services to the area.

The branch has been part of the modernisation and investment programme across Post Office, and has opened within a Premier Store, providing a wide range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items.

The new agents Zulfiqar and Sal Ahmad said: “As community retailers, we hope customers like the new home for Woodside Post Office. The Post Office is the focal point of our business and is complimented by a bakery and convenience store.

Our customers are offered the convenience of everyday shopping essentials while also returning their online shopping, paying their bills, or getting some cash out of the usual bank account over the counter.”

Zulfiqar and Sal’s Berryden Post Office showed a great example of customer care back in November 2018, when they dealt with a sensitive customer request – a little girl’s hamster had passed away. You can read more and see the video here.
