Restoring services to the community of Dalgety Bay

Lesley Laird, MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath officially reopened of Dalgety Bay Post Office in Dunfermline earlier this month

Lesley Laird, MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, said: “When Dalgety Bay lost its Post Office earlier this year it represented a huge blow to the local community.”

“It brought home to many people just how essential local Post Office services are, especially after the loss of local bank branches.”

“I’m very pleased to be able to officially open this new branch which has restored Post Office services to the community of Dalgety Bay. I wish them every success for the future.”

Chief Operating Officer for McColl’s Retail Group, Dave Thomas, said: “We are delighted with our new Dalgety Bay Post Office, the branch offers a wide range of Post Office services alongside our extensive retail offer. As a convenience store operator we are always looking for ways to make life easier for our customers and the additional Post Office services will be available for the full opening hours of the store in order to provide an excellent service for the local community.”
