Branch design pilot continues at a service station

We recently shared some information on a branch design pilot we are testing. Another branch with the new designs opened in Newcastle Upon Tyne, this time at a service station.

Providing customers quick and convenient access to services is a key part of our strategy. One of the latest branches to open in the network, offering 112 hours of Post Office services every week, is at a service station in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is the second branch to open by MFG (Motor Fuel Group).

The branch also includes the new branch designs which we are piloting across the network. Read more about the branch design pilot.

Catherine McKinnell, MP for Newcastle upon Tyne North officially re-opened Great North Road Post Office. She said: “I am pleased to be officially opening the Great North Road Post Office in this bright modern environment in the heart of the community. I know how important local Post Offices are to my constituents – and it’s great that this one has moved just up the road, and will be open seven days a week.”

Tony Walker, Trading Director for Motor Fuel Group, said: “As a community retailer, we are delighted to be welcoming Post Office customers to our store. Adding Post Office services is of great benefit to the local community.”
