Millions of customers come to Post Office branches every week, whether it’s to pay a bill, get their travel money, to put cash in or to send a parcel.
One of our most important customer groups are online small businesses and marketplace sellers. They are an integral part of the UK economy. They help keep local communities thriving and, through Post Office, they can trade with the world.
Recently we have launched the My first Order campaign where we meet our customers and hear first-hand why they use Post Office.
Meeting our online sellers
Watch videos of small business owners, talking about how they started out. Hear what they rely on their local Post Office for - and see their products, which we don’t get to do when they’re all wrapped up in parcels!
Dom Desmond, owner of Critically Endangered Socks, with a glimpse of Dalston Lane Post Office in London, which he visits regularly to use Drop & Go.
Wendy Inkster, owner of Burra Bears, uses Royal Mail Special Delivery at her Hamnavoe Post Office in Burra, Shetland to send her knitted bears all over the UK.
Caroline Dobson, owner of The Fairy Nice Trading Company, uses Royal Mail First Class Tracked and Signed at the Stoke Mandeville Post Office in Buckinghamshire.
My first order campaign tells the stories of how fulfilling a first order as an online business is a landmark moment. That first sale. That first connection with your customers. Where your business truly began. All online businesses, will remember this moment and Post Office have been at the very heart of it; supporting them at the start of their journey and along the way as they grow.
The videos will be shared on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for six weeks from mid-June and will reach around 1.3 million online sellers and drive 100 new Drop & go sign ups. Feel free to share and like these videos to help spread the word to your community about how you can help them.
