As you will be aware the result of the referendum over the UK's membership of the European Union has led to a majority in favour of the Leave campaign. The Prime Minister has made a statement about what happens next and you can read it here.
There will now be a period of negotiation prior to formal departure from the EU.
For the Post Office today it is therefore business as usual.

Financial Service products
In relation to financial services products, all the existing protections from the Deposit Protection Scheme of UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme remain in place (i.e. up to £75,000). This is the same level of protection as other Bank of England licenced and regulated UK domiciled UK Banks and Building Societies. This level of protection is exactly the same as prior to the referendum.
Our partner, Bank of Ireland UK, has been separately incorporated in the UK since 2010. It is licenced and regulated in the UK by the Bank of England through the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
