Hot off the press

Hot off the press

Over the past few weeks, we’ve talked a lot about the future of cash, and have discussed what Post Office’s role could be as its use evolves in the UK. And this talk isn’t just happening internally, we’ve also been talking to the press to discuss what the future of cash could be in the UK.

This coverage was all to kick off our ‘Future of Cash’ campaign, which aims to build awareness of our banking services and set Post Office as an expert in all things cash.

On the day of launch, we had coverage across a range of national titles including The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, This is Money, Independent and Express – spanning both in-print and online.

All the articles focused on the fact that the UK is not ready to go completely cashless, including key messages around how all ages still rely heavily upon cash to make essential purchases. Something we found during our own internal #bankingdebate. And Banking Services Director, Martin Kearsley was quoted in the likes of The Telegraph, Daily Mail, TiM and Express, positioned alongside Gareth Shaw, Which? Money, and Ron Delnevo, executive director of the ATM Industry Association – setting us amongst other experts in the field.

This coverage is crucial in helping us succeed in our strategic ambition to be the UK’s number one provider of cash services as we build awareness of our services on a large scale. Keep an eye out for more banking activity on our social media channels in the coming weeks!
