Our local high street is changing as fast as customer shopping habits. Just this week we’ve seen another household name, the retail institution Marks and Spencer drop out of the FTSE 100. This means that M&S share values are no longer high enough to feature in the top 100 UK companies.
However, it’s not all doom and gloom. While the high street is continually changing, we have already started and need to continue to adapt to what our customers want to still stay as relevant, such as offering banking services as bank branches close. With your help in delivering great service to every customer that comes through our doors, we’ll be a memorable choice for existing and new customers.
There are many example of postmasters who are embracing change and innovating to help their customers.
As a business, we’ll continue to improve and modernise to find new ways to help make our customers’ lives easier. Whether that be by offering banking services, a friendly passport Check and Send service, accepting online returns at any one of our 11,500 branches or offering the option to buy travel money online at 4am and collect it in branch – our branches are there to help.
As our high streets change, we’ll remain well placed at the heart of society and communities to help our customers with the right range of products, great service and a welcoming face in the local community. We’re always here to make our customers’ lives just that little bit easier.
