Most of you will have seen media coverage today (11 April) confirming that an extension has been agreed and that the UK will not be leaving the EU on 12 April.
What does this mean for Post Office branches?
- It’s business as usual for customers as our products and services remain unchanged
- There will be no need to apply custom declaration forms to items being posted to the EU
- Please do not display any point of sale material about putting customs forms on EU items, but keep it safe in case it’s needed in the future
- Customers who wish to purchase an International Driving Permit (IDP) should be advised that currently IDPs are not required for driving in the EU but remain a requirement in many countries throughout the world
We’re in the process of updating our Brexit FAQs and will share these with you soon.
